Khazanah Investment Structure as at 31 March 2010
As at 31 March 2010 Khazanah investment structure is shown in the diagram as below,
Based on this diagram, Khazanah control stakes in the listed companies are as below,
- Proton (42.74%)
- CIMB Group (28.39%)
- EON Capital (10%)
- Pharmaniaga (88.8%)
- PLUS Expressways (18.74% direct control and UEM Group that is 100% controlled by Khazanah controls 38.61% of PLUS Expressway)
- Axiata (44.61%)
- Telekom (41.78%)
- Astro (21.39%)
- Timedotcom (18.38% direct control and Time Engineering which is 46% controlled by Khazanah controls 28.68% of Timedotcom)
- Time Engineering (46.0%)
- Parkson Retails (7.84%)
- DRB Hicom (6.38%)
- UEM Land (77.14 %)
- MAS (17.08%, via direct control and Penerbangan Malaysia which is 100% controlled by Khazanah controls 62.29% of MAS)
- Malaysia Airport (80%)
- Pos Malaysia (32.21%)
- Tenaga Nasional (35.74%)
Khazanah controls more than 30% on 12 Bursa Malaysia listed companies via direct and indirect control and the highest percentage controlling stakes it has is Pharmaniaga with 88.8%, followed by the Malaysia Airport with 80% and UEM Land with 77.14%.
Compared to the Khazanah Investment Structure as at 31 December 2009, the significant changes is the Malaysia Airport where Khazanah's stakes on it has been increased from 67.74% to 80%.
Followed with the recent announced of the New Economic Model (NEM), Khazanah had announced that it will divest its 32 per cent stake in Pos Malaysia Bhd through a two-stage strategic divestment process.
Besides, ASTRO is in the process being taken private and EON Capital is in the process of being acquired by Hong Leong group.
If everything is as per planned, the total number of listed companies where the Khazanah has stakes on it will be reduced from 17 to 14.
