Do trade the future contract with the license holders as Securities Commission (SC) is investigating the activities of Rantau Simfoni Sdn Bhd and its director Zamani bin Hamdan for possible breaches of securities laws in relation to the trading in futures contracts without a licence.

According to the statement, Neither Rantau Simfoni nor Zamani is licensed by the SC to solicit for monies or to trade in futures contracts on behalf of others. Investors are therefore warned not to deal with Rantau Simfoni or Zamani and are advised to contact the SC should they have information in this regard.

The SC also cautions the public of an increase in investment scams purportedly being carried out through licensed parties, or with the approval of the SC.

Investors are reminded to be wary of investment schemes promising unusually high returns. Where schemes are purportedly linked to licensed intermediaries, investors are advised to verify the legitimacy of such schemes with the licensed intermediary concerned or with the SC.
