Companies Commission of Malaysia Provides 15 Per Cent Discount On Incorporation Fees For New Compani
The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) is providing a 15 per cent discount on the incorporation fees for new companies, whose authorised capital does not exceed RM1 million. The temporary reduction would be effective from April 1 to December 31 2010.
The discounted fees are as below,
Authorised capital does not exceed RM 100,000 - RM 850 (before is RM 1000).
Authorised capital more than RM 100, 000 but does not exceed RM 500,000 - RM 2550 (before is RM 3000).
Authorised capital more than RM 500, 000 but does not exceed RM 1 Million - RM 4250 (before is RM 5000).
The objective of offering the discount is to encourage the formation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to participate in various business opportunities, pursuant to the government's RM67 billion stimulus packages.
The discounted fee is expected to benefit 40,000 new companies projected to be incorporated this year, it added.
The CCM has indentified that approximately 95 per cent of new companies incorporated over the past three years, fall under the category of companies with an authorised capital of less than RM1 million.
The CCM's initiative is expected to bring positive implications to the country, including facilitating entry of the stakeholders into business pursuant to the discounted incorporation fees.
The saving with this 15 percent discount is range from RM 150 to RM 750, even tough the amount is not that big but it does reduce the business start up cost. Do take note on the promotional date is from from April 1 2010 to December 31 2010.
